When my son, Fletcher, was born I quickly learned the value of "babywearing" to calm a colicky baby. He felt better snuggled close to my body, and with my hands free I was actually able to make the bed, eat lunch, even brush my teeth!

Fletcher eventually outgrew his colic, but the sling remained our constant companion.

The only problem . . . as an artist and a wannabe fashionista, the slings I found commercially available simply did not meet my aesthetic standards. My new mom body did not need the additional bulk of many models, and while my sweet baby Fletcher was certainly cute, I did not have any desire to wear "cutesy" or "babyish" prints.

And thus Sweet Fletcher Designs was born. A simple, stylish baby sling for the fashionable Mom.

Two years later Fletcher became a big brother, and I discovered a renewed appreciation for the style and ease of the sling. How does any mother manage a toddler and a new baby without an extra pair of hands? Once again, the sling has been our saving grace. Baby Lola Gray loves to cuddle in the sling and be a part of the action! And whether it is a trip to the market, playing in the park, or just working at home, my hands are free to tend to all the many things a mother must juggle.
